  • 2 tablespoons Mixed herbs e.g., parsley, rosemary

Method
 

Making the Dough
  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, olive oil, minced garlic, and mixed herbs.
  3. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
Rising and Baking
  1. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  4. Brush the top with melted butter and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before slicing.
