- In a large mixing bowl, combine the strong white bread flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
- Warm the milk and butter together until the butter is melted, then let cool slightly.
- Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Shape each portion into a bun.
- Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Optional: Brush the tops of the buns with milk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the buns are golden brown.
