- Cut the cabbage into wedges.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the cabbage wedges to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until slightly tender.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and season with salt, black pepper, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover the skillet and let it cook for 30 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and melts in your mouth.
- Uncover, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, and stir gently before serving.

Notes
You can swap green cabbage for Savoy for a unique twist or use chicken broth instead of vegetable for a richer taste. Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a hint of heat.
