Ingredients
  

Chicken and Vegetables
  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast sliced into thin strips
  • 4 cups cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 bell pepper red sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey optional for sweetness
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds toasted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare all ingredients by slicing the chicken, shredding the cabbage, and chopping the vegetables.
Cooking
  1. Heat the wok over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  2. Add the chicken strips and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper, stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well to coat all ingredients. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
