Ingredients
  

Salad Base
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell pepper any color
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, green onions, and cilantro.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, ginger, and garlic until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
